Privacy Policy

MakerSuite 3D ("we", "our", "the Service") is a free online PCB viewer. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Files you upload: Source PCB files (.kicad_pcb, .PcbDoc, .brd, .zip, .json) are parsed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded or transmitted to our servers. If you explicitly click the Share button, only the parsed board data (component list, nets, tracks — not the original file) is uploaded to our storage; see Data Retention below.

Usage data: We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless) to collect anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, session duration, device type). No personally identifiable information is collected.

Cookies & Local Storage: We use cookies for Google AdSense (advertising) and Google Analytics (both consent-gated). We also store a small value in your browser's localStorage ("ms_consent_v1") to remember your consent choice — this is a strictly necessary item and is not sent to any server. You can manage cookie preferences through the consent banner, or re-open it later via the "Cookie Settings" link in the page footer.

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

• Google AdSense — Advertising (cookie-based, loaded only after consent)
• Google Analytics 4 — Anonymous usage statistics (loaded only after consent)
• Vercel Hosting + Web Analytics — Website hosting (server logs may include IP addresses) and cookieless analytics
• Sentry — Error monitoring; may process browser details and stack traces when errors occur
• Cloudflare (R2 + CDN) — Shared-link storage and static asset delivery
• Google Forms — Feedback collection (only when you voluntarily submit)
• jlcsearch.tscircuit.com (LCSC mirror, community-run) — BOM component lookup; your search query is transmitted to this third-party service
• DigiKey Product API — BOM supplier data; search queries are forwarded to DigiKey
• Mouser Search API — BOM supplier data; search queries are forwarded to Mouser

These services may collect data according to their own privacy policies.

Shared-link data: when you explicitly click the Share button, the parsed board data (components, nets, tracks — no source files) is gzipped and stored on Cloudflare R2 for 30 days, then automatically deleted. To prevent abuse of the share endpoint, your IP address is temporarily processed in memory for rate limiting (maximum 10 shares per hour); IPs are not persisted to a database. Outside of this opt-in feature, we do not store any user data on our servers. Analytics data is retained by Google and Vercel per their respective policies.

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Withdraw consent for cookies at any time
• Object to data processing
• File a complaint with your local data protection authority

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. Advertising cookies used by Google AdSense may constitute "sharing" under the CPRA; you can opt out by clicking "Reject" on the cookie consent banner (or "Cookie Settings" in the page footer), or by using an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) — we honor GPC signals and will treat them as a request to opt out of personalized advertising.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it upon request.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
